Creating additional functionality...

Yahoo! asked to have an engaging city wide experience to coincide with their announcement of a new Flickr app and # implementation. Partner designers and the client wanted a wall with live photos pulled into a slideshow format to display on the wall of images…the problem…this functionality wasn’t built into Flickr itself. I prototyped a solution and system which allowed for photos posted to Flicker to be added to a Group and # monitoring that pulled public images into a slideshow and inserted them into the queue in real time. To implement this I worked with Daniel Ryan (dryan.com) to quickly turn around a stable version of the program. Additionally we skinned the interface to look like and mimic the Flickr carousel slideshow.
